Great real old school American place to have a delicious breakfast for great price. Where actually people are talking to each other and did not see anyone playing with the phones out of boredom! Definitely recommend!

FINALLY!!! I have been searching for a good place to eat breakfast in the Jimm Thorpe area for years, sometimes you can get lucky and maybe get a couple of eggs cooked right with some toast that is fresh and tasty but home fries and meat seem to always be an impossibility, old gross and nasty in every place I tried.
Until now, Central Lunch uses all fresh ingredients freshly bought and made daily. They are a family run business using mom's recipes with respect to making them as tasty as possible.
The service is very friendly and inviting, this is a place you want to go on the regular.
I am new to this breakfast location but feeling very hopeful my initial visit was great and I cannot see it going anywhere but up. -

ALWAYS the best breakfast! Awesome people. Lunch specials are great...love the mac and cheese!

Great little hole-in-the-wall spot. Located right next to the canal trail, so you can hike or bike first to work up an appetite. Food is standard diner fare; portions are large enough that you won't leave hungry. This is the kind of place you can picture your grandpa eating at 40 years ago and it hasn't changed a bit.
Counter seating is limited, but coming here with 1-2 people I've never had to wait long for a seat -

After living near Central Lunch for over 30 years, I finally stopped in for breakfast and quickly regretted I had not dined here earlier.
The food is good, honestly prepared & cooked, and served quickly.
They have daily specials as well. Some of their regulars were bragging up the haddock special on Fridays so next time I have off on a Friday, I may have to give it a try.
Here is the essential information:
Monday thru Friday 5:30 am - 2:00 pm
Saturday & Sunday 6:00 am - 1:00 pm
They have one table that seats 2.
They have 14-15 counter seats. That is all the seating for the entire place.
Stop in and give Central Lunch a try. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
